About the Inn

The Coach Stop Inn was acquired from its long-time owners in June 2008 by Nature Quest, Inc., another locally-based firm serving the traveling public.

Nature Quest, founded in 1998, is a full-service geotourism company. Nature Quest's professional guides deliver exceptional outdoor experiences in some of North America's most beautiful wild environments. Nature Quest has adventures for a wide range of ages and abilities, with all amenities and services packaged for convenience and value. Hiking - biking - rafting - trail rides - skiing - wildlife watching and education - star-gazing - fly fishing - the possibilities are almost endless.

Nature Quest provides programs directly and through its main operating affiliate, Mountain Trail Horse Center, Inc. Since 1982 Mountain Trail, a highly regarded outfitter, has taken thousands of guests into the wild on horseback and by covered wagon.

Nature Quest owners Patrick and Jill Maier and Perry Smith have a large vision: creating the premiere geotourism destination in the East. Part of that vision is ensuring quality lodging and dining for those visiting the region - for Nature Quest tours, Mountain Trail horseback expeditions or horse-drawn wagon rides, and for travelers exploring the region on their own or just passing through.
